Yes, you heard that right! For the first time ever, Garrison Command has put together a set of awards, recognizing some of the finest troopers in our fair state for their contributions throughout the past year.

The awards were compiled by the Garrison Commanding Officer, Adam Johnsey and Executive Officer, John Wright III, with confirmation from our Garrison Membership Liaison, Jamey Ethridge. With so many outstanding members in the Garrison, we can assure you that this was no small task!

For the 7th consecutive year, the Alabama Garrison will be trooping the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Stories of Light” fundraiser at Parkway Place Mall in Huntsville. The event will be on Saturday, December 5th, 2009.

For a $5 donation to Make-A-Wish, you will receive a hard copy/printed picture of your meeting with a favorite STAR WARS characters as a souvenir. How cool is that?!

For the past 2 years, we’ve raised over $2000 per event. The Make-A-Wish Foundation says that we hold the record for fund-raising for them in Huntsville, so let’s continue the tradition!

In 2007, we raised $2200. In 2008, we raised $2500.

How much will we raise this year?

Look for us on the lower level, near Customer Service. Stop by, meet Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and the Stormtroopers… and help us set a BRAND NEW record!
