HUNTSVILLE, AL – At 7:30 a.m., Heather Finley and her son, 10-year-old son Grayson Finley, waited outside the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. The Finleys, from Bentonville, Ark., drove 10 hours to see “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination.”
“We planned our whole vacation around the opening of the ‘Star Wars’ exhibition,” Finley said. “We are really big ‘Star Wars’ fans.”

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The premiere summer event in North Alabama is just over two months away, and the clock is running! The world famous Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit opens Friday, June 25th, and tickets are already selling briskly.

For the 7th consecutive year, the Alabama Garrison will be trooping the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Stories of Light” fundraiser at Parkway Place Mall in Huntsville. The event will be on Saturday, December 5th, 2009.
For a $5 donation to Make-A-Wish, you will receive a hard copy/printed picture of your meeting with a favorite STAR WARS characters as a souvenir. How cool is that?!
For the past 2 years, we’ve raised over $2000 per event. The Make-A-Wish Foundation says that we hold the record for fund-raising for them in Huntsville, so let’s continue the tradition!
In 2007, we raised $2200. In 2008, we raised $2500.
