‘Bucket Heads’ Help Fill the Boot for MDA
Fyffe, AL – September 7, 2007: So you already know that the Alabama Garrison stormed the “UFO Days” festival in Fyffe, AL. But we actually did more than just troop to recruit!
I thought that I would wait until today (while the MDA telethon is going on) to mention that during our trooping, we donated some of our time to help out at the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) booth where they were having a “Fill the Boot” collection for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). We wanted to help draw some attention to their collection drive in our own unique way…
The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) has been a major contributor to MDA for 52 years. The money that is collected goes to finding a cure for the disease, as well as medical treatment, equipment and summer camps.
We were more than happy to lend a hand to this worthy cause, and were honored to help out the IAFF!
